Well…who am I?

Hey High flyers and speed freaks! My name is James Hammond – I have been around for quite a while and designed more than a few successful (IMHO) model sailplanes, beginning in the early 80’s (!)

Some of you who read this might know me as the original designer for the RCRCM range of planes: Vector III, Mini Vector, Typhoon 2M, Sunbird 60”, Strega F3F, and Sigma II F3B/F3J.

So, what’s going on here?

Well, due partly to reasons beyond my control I have decided to go out on my own and produce a new range of even better Sailplanes. This new range will run the whole gamut of our hobby from Slope Aerobatic, through sports models, up to truly Competition class F3X speeders and floaters – chuck them off or pull them up – I hope to offer something for all.

My design philosophy:

What I try hard to do in any design is to make my planes visually appealing – especially in flight, but more importantly planes that have a wide flight envelope specifically tailored to the type, and possibly the most important – have really good handling qualities. Many people have flown my designs from RCRCM days and many liked them - which is a good sign… Now I intend to do even better!
